The FoodBowl in collaboration with DWC FoodTech are seeking expressions of interest for the following courses:

Approved Persons Course for UHT Processed and Aseptically Packaged Foods

This program has been developed for those involved with the management, development, validation and control of UHT processing and aseptic packaging of low-acid and acid foods and beverages and specifically designed to provide an advanced level of training and accreditation that will be regarded by the food industry and regulators as similar in status to the Approved Persons Course for Thermal Processing of Low-Acid Foods which DWC FoodTech has been presenting in collaboration with CSIRO since 1997. The course is presented at a tertiary level and requires participants to be comfortable performing mathematical calculations.

Fundamentals of UHT Processing and Aseptic Packaging (previously Operators course)

This program has been developed for those involved with the development, verification, maintenance and operation of UHT processing and aseptic packaging of low-acid and acid foods and beverages. It is suitable for those involved in (or have an interest in) UHT processing and/or aseptic packaging but do not require the advanced level of training required to determine, validate or verify heat treatments (F values). The syllabus presents the theoretical basis underpinning thermal processing technologies for the manufacture of acid and low-acid UHT processed foods and provides practical training in the operation of UHT heat treatment plants and aseptic filling systems.
