In a celebration of innovation and rising talent, Gabrielle Lobo, Business Development Manager at the New Zealand Food Innovation Network (NZFIN) has been awarded the prestigious Emerging Talent: Food Science & Technology Award at the New Zealand Food Awards 2025, sponsored by the Palmerston North City Council.
Recognised as “a rising star making a real impact on New Zealand’s food and beverage industry”, the judges highlighted Lobo’s ability to support both startups and corporates to innovate, commercialise, and scale their offerings.
Speaking after the gala event, Gabi reflected on the journey: “It’s an honour to be recognised among such a talented group. I’m passionate about helping our food & beverage industry push boundaries, whether in sustainable ingredients, new processes or smarter go-to-market strategies.”
The Emerging Talent category was launched this year to shine a spotlight on the next generation of food industry professionals transforming Aotearoa’s food sector.
